Buildings on the Canal

This project saw the renovation of a historic brick hut on the River Weaver. Originally built as a small storeroom and shelter for Weaver bridge-keepers at the turn of the last century, the hut was once part of the impressive Newbridge Salt Works development, just north of Winsford.

In recent years the building had suffered. The corrugated iron roof was leaking and much of the brick work had been vandalised.

The building can be used once more and will provide as a local hub for communities to advertise events and information.
